The Founders
Greg Vandecar & Ivan Foreman
​Both Greg and Ivan are originally from South Africa where they met at high school and have remained close friends ever since. Ivan’s career has been spent mostly in technology sales & business development, whilst Greg’s background is in engineering.
After being introduced to pickleball by a close friend, they started playing the sport in October 2024 and quickly became addicted. They had always spoken about potentially starting a business together, and their passion for pickleball made them put their heads together and come up with a way to incorporate the sport into a viable business.
There were a lot of social clubs starting in the UK, but nothing focused on team building/customer networking. Bringing together professionals to network and interact in a fun and social environment with pickleball as an enabler was the concept.
Together, they spoke to a number of friends and colleagues who all agreed the idea had legs, and PickleMix Events was born.
Coach - Roy Eastwood
Roy has been coaching tennis professionally for over 30 years and, since 2023, has become a fully qualified pickleball coach and competitive player. He currently competes at a national level and is the reigning English Open champion in his age group.
Roy loves introducing people to the game, seeing confidence grow, and watching teams engage and enjoy the experience together. His focus is always on making sessions enjoyable, supportive, and memorable for everyone involved.
He is extremely patient, and from his many years in coaching people of all ages, he has the ability to get absolutely anyone playing and enjoying pickleball within a few minutes.
Roy met Ivan & Greg at their local pickleball club, where he coaches and when he heard the idea for PickleMix Events, he immediately wanted to be involved.
